Hi,
I have a few MQWF question, any help is appreciated.
With staffs definitions in MQWF, Is there an easy way to make use of the staffs in an existing system (HR system or an Ldap)? Instead of creating the staffs in buildtime, can we connect to an external system to get user ID and password for MQWF authentication. Does the API provide such functionality? This would be useful if there are thousands of staffs that are involve in the workflow system, it would be much earsier to manage add & removal of staffs.
When changes are made to the runtime environment, does the workflow system have to be restarted for the changes to take effect, will the users have to logout and log back in to see the changes made to the system?
Is there a way to manage who is connected to the system (or which thread/process is connected to the system. And if so, force a particular user off the system?
Is there a limit on the number of active threads?
Thanks in advance.

1. The only way to change the worklfow authentication is to write an Authentication exit. At this point there are no direct API calls that allow for staff manipulation.
2. Changes made to a user that is currently logged in, will not be seen by the user until they login again. I.E. the user attributes are read at Login and not changed, so we need a fresh login to see user changes. This does not require a workflow restart. Changes made to other objects Process Models Data strutuctures etc do not require a user to logout. The changes made however, will only affect NEW process instances, Not those already in flight.
3. I am not aware of any way to force a user off the system, short of shutting the entire system down.
4. There may be limits on threads, but I've not had any problems up to now with the defaults that are set at install.
