Hi,
We have an existing network of 6 MQSIv1.1 brokers which we are upgrading to MQSIv2.0.2. The queue managers are already in a working cluster and I don't want to define individual sdr-rcvr channels if I don't have to! Can I just add my new configmgr qmgr to the existing cluster?
On my sandbox sytem I have created a cluster from scratch which seems fine, but when I try to deploy I get:
BIP1533E: Unable to deploy configuration data: unknown MQSeries queue manager DBBROKER_QM associated with broker MQSIBROKER.
The detail refers me to MQRC_UNKNOWN_REMOTE_Q_MGR
I don't have an xmitq etc. defined because I don't think I should need one, as the cluster sender/receiver channels are in place. Any advice?
Thanks,
Vicky |

You should be able to add your config manager just fine to the cluster. You need to ensure that every queue manager hosting a broker is reachable and that each broker queue manager can also reach the config manager. After that, all should be fine. If it doesn't work or if you encounter problems, please post back and we'll take a good hard look. Diagrams of the environment would also be very useful. |
