I am in the process of adding Websphere-specific forums to this site. I would like everyone's input on which forums should be created. I'm not an expert in Websphere, so I'd likely miss some important areas if I did this myself. I've already listed some of the more obvious ones:
App Server installation/configuration
App Server troubleshooting
Adapters/Business Components
Crossworlds
Visual Age
Please let me know what you think...

My $0.02 ... I don't like this one little bit 
Keep this forum pure for MQ related topics. If you want to manage a WebSphere based newsgroup, keep it separate and distinct from the MQ world.
With the migration to this new format/system, we can now see what new postings have occurred since the last visit. If we add WebSphere generic (Servlets, EJBs, JDBC etc) into the mix, you will dilute the capabilities. Right now I can search on keywords and know that they will be related to MQ .... |

Since MQSI/WORKFLOW have some forums here, I think we should have some Websphere/MQSeries forums, at least how it integrates with MQSeries.

Well, I certainly want to take into account the opinions of everyone else. My only question about making the sites distinct, as Neil proposes, is why should we work to make the two products separate when IBM is working to integrate them? As far as the searching goes, it offers the functionality of searching by category. This is actually the level above forums, so you'll notice right now there are only 3 categories. I could actually consolidate these into one, and then have another for Websphere specific forums. This way people could search one or the other or both.
I'm not totally oppossed to having a separate site, however, what should a person do when they actually have a Websphere/MQ question? Do they post it in one of the two sites (when the guy who has the answer happens to only look at the other site) or does the person need to post their question in both places, in which case we get replication of information, and possible confusion.
But I would definitely like to hear some other people's opinions on this...

I like the idea of adding WebSphere forums, but Brian, you need to group the fourms so that the searches do not get wild.
For an example of another site using BB2 and grouping to allow for effective searching see www.pdabuzz.com . You can search an individual forum, a group of forums (e.g. Palm only) or all the forums.
Another thought is you may need more moderators and active ones too. e.g. I'm tried of seeing MQSI posts all over the place. Off topic posts need to be moved to the correct forum.
Don't bother with Visual Age for Java because it is dead. Call it WebSphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD) aka Eclipse.
When you create your new forums and "gropuings", please create a Mercator forum under the Broker / Transformation grouping (Pleeeeeeease).
