Hi All,
We're new to message sets.
We are trying to create a map file using a mapping node for a message set
1- I right-click on the map, click "open map"
2- open the wizard select the option " maps properties and message body"
3- select the message source to be "input Message" (i.e. no need for mapping database records"
4- In the "source and target mappables", we cannot add any source or target messages although we have some messages as shown in this picture
http://www.ece.ubc.ca/~amrm/mapping/mapping.html
Any thing we are missing?

Hi asalema,
Please try a clean rebuild on your message set project. Perhaps there is an error and thats why its not showing up...
Else there could be something wrong with the installation....hope you have installed the service and fix packs.
Regards. |

From the picture it looks like you have only highlighted the project. You should see a tree drill down in the project (MessageSet) showing all the messages defined. You will need to choose one of the messages. Same for source as for target.
Looking at your picture I'd say that you do not have either made a dependency on a message set for your project or your message set does not contain any messages(maybe only types?)
That being said elvis_gn's advice is sound. You may want to make sure all patches are loaded and do a start -clean after that.

This happened a couple of days ago when I had "Project -> Build automatically" turned off. Building the message set projects fixed the problem. |

Thx very much for the prompt replies.
We got the issue resolved
I did update to the latest fix for the toolkit (dated June 16th, 2006)
I then did start -clean
I then did rebuild project, and now I can see the messages showing up in the "source and target mappables" panel
Again, thx a lot for the responses |
