I have a message based on a xsd-file with a few changes i made using the toolkit.
My question is, when the xsd file changes, can i update my message without having to redo my changes?
Or do i need to re-import the xsd, rebuild the message definition and make the changes again? |

So you used a schema file to create a message definition, you then manually changed the definition in the toolkit, and now the schema has changed?
afaik, you need to either manually enter the schema changes -or- re-import the schema and re-do your changes. _________________ -wayne |

that's what i thought also...
another point of view, let's say i import a xsd to create a message definition file. I don't make updates to the mxsd, and after that the original xsd changes.
Can i update the mxsd, or do i need to delete the mxsd and recreate the message definition with the new xsd? |

After importing the changed schema, create the message definition file, it will warn you that a message definition file for this schema already exists. Choose the option to overwrite the exisitng message definition file. Now you have the message definition file as per the changed schema. You don't have to manually change the messages that use types from this file as the changes will be updated automatically.
Hope this helps
