Hi all,

I have this strange problem that is driving me nuts. I have a remote Queue defined, which I'm trying to put messages using Java native binding. Environment is Sun Solaris. I get the error Completion Code:2 and Reason Code 2085. I have confirmed that the queue exists by checking in the runmqsc command. It also shows the Queue name in uppercase, just as I'm giving in my Java program. I'm quite sure that the QManager and QName are referred correctly in my Java program. What else could go wrong? Please help.............

Thanks
Varma

hi varma ,
can u kindly do the following . fiest check the remote queue definition whether have u given corrent names for the remoteq and remote q manager and the corrent connection name (ie) hostname:portnumber of the remote qmgr. check the definition of XMITQ and and also check whether have u given the correct name of the xmitq in the remoteq defn . if this is all correct .then in your API check whether have u given proper environment settings to connect to the qmanager. that is the hostname , port number and the server connection channel . For safe reasons do specify the channel that is SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN or any other server channel which u have defined . I am sure if all this is correct then you should be ablt to connect to the qmanager . if you are able to connect to the qmanager and not able to access the queue please check whether the name of the queue is correct . make sure that the qmanager name and qname are exactly same as the one defined in the mq series server and should not have any leading or trailing banks as they are case sensitive . hit me a reply @ a_murugan@yahoo.com , if this doesnt work . Another thing is try to use qalias insetad of the actual queue name so that u dont have tight copling with the mqserver objects

cheers,
Murugan

Murugan,

Thanks for offering help. You will be surprised to know that it started working this morning. I really did not change anything. The end is as weird as the beginning!

Thanks
Varma
