Hi,
On the SMF stats from MQ on z/OS when processed with the MP1B support pac the PUT statistics have two columns.
“PUTS” and “VALID PUTS”
For some queues which are cluster queues and put to from a distributed queue manageron my queue manager I always have exactly twice as many PUTS as VALID PUTS
What exactly is a “PUT” that isn’t a “VALID PUT” and what might cause this behaviour
Looking at this in combination with channel stats it does appear to be double the number of messages actually coming over the channel that are actuially genuine messages.
Thanks,

A "PUT" is a PUT that either worked or failed? A "VALID PUT" is a put that did succesfully complete? _________________ Peter Potkay
