Hi,
I would like to stop, start , terminate messages before they are delivered to a consumer.
What i mean by that is that: let us say i have a java method : stopWork() if i invoke the method, the queue should stop sending the messages to the consumer ??
Is there any functionality available in Websphere MQ like this or do i need to programatically handle these situations. |

You need to handle that through your program.
For JMS check out the methods on the connection (start, stop, close) and understand what they do and how they interact with the consumer.
