I applied intermediate fix 4 this morning to my broker toolkit to reapir a couple bugs I'd been hitting in the debugger. I used the rational product updater. The service process went fine, but sometime after that install the BAR editor stopped displaying the Add button and Delete button at the top of the Content window on any newly opened BARs - no buttons display between the titling and the content list control. So I can no longer make changes to any BARs. I've never seen this before, and am unsure what really caused it. Existing BARs in previously good workspaces have the problem. The same problem also occurs if I make a complete new workspace, make one wimpy flow, and try to create a new BAR from scratch - no add/delete buttons in the bar editor for the empty BAR.
Thought I'd ask here in case someone can point me at a simple fix, before I open a new support incident with IBM. Thanks in advance for any help. _________________ Steve |

Did you try restarting the toolkit with the "-clean" option? _________________ -wayne |

I hadn't tried that, so I just did. Startup was much longer than usual, so I think I did -clean properly, but no help - the bar editor still shows no buttons. One other interesting artifact that I didn't mention in the first post - whar a BAR is opened in the BAR editor, now the Content tab at the bottom is always second, and the Configure tab shows first. Before this problem, the Content tab always showed first.
Anyway, thanks for your post. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. _________________ Steve |

Okay, the second thing to try is a new workspace to see if that makes the BAR editor behave. If it does, then you should erase the .metadata directory in your current workspace, but you'll have to re-import all your projects. _________________ -wayne |

I've already tried making a completely new workspace, making one new do-nothing flow, and then making a new archive that I can add the flow to. Same thing happens - no add or delete buttons when the New command shows the BAR editor for the first time.
Any other ideas? I appreciate the help... _________________ Steve |

Then I'm out of ideas... except re-installing and re-IF'ing .... but maybe its better if you open a PMR to see if service has any ideas first.... _________________ -wayne |

Thanks for the help, I'll open a PMR. Reinstall would be painful... _________________ Steve |
