Hi,

I am using WMQ 5.3. I want to impose security in my MQ environment. Well the best option that I found is SSL. But the problem here is SSL implementation secures my message only while transporation. Anyone can read my message when the message is in some queue. How do I implement security at queue level.

Give me more options other than using IBM Tivoli Access Manager for Business Integration. Channel exists won't help me. MQSETAUTH will put lot of burden on administrator as we have very complex MQ environment.

Any more ideas from your past experience?

Use access control lists for your queues, then "anyone" can't read them!

Generic ACL profiles don't take much effort to set up.

Otherwise you would have to use some kind of application level data encryption.

That is what the job of an MQ Admin is and this shouldn't be an excuse
