I am trying to install CSD10 for MQ 5.3 on a windows box hosting only the MQSeries client application. I am using the executable U200226A.exe. I keep getting error suggesting that the full MQ product is required.

What am I doing wrong and is there a way round this feature?

Something's amuck with your current install.

I've had this before as well and wound up uninstalling the client also making sure the MQSeries tree in the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\MQSeries\....) is also deleted. Reinstalling the client and then the CSD.

was this client install done from the server or the actual client CD's ?

(there IS a difference between the two I believe...)
