Hi,
We're using MQ on a mainframe, and suddenly today noon, we began receiving this message:
13:19:45.00 UES21744 00000090 +XPFC100W ThreshDyn TRANS CPUTIME CKTI * WARNING
20.000 CICSPB01 CKTI 55 CICSDFL
Afterwards, the message was not more a WARNING, but a PROBLEM, such as:
13:22:00.00 UES21744 00000090 +XPFC100W ThreshDyn TRANS CPUTIME CKTI * PROBLEM
20.000 CICSPB01 CKTI 55 CICSDFL
23:39:00.04 UES21744 00000090 +XPFC100W ThreshDyn TRANS CPUTIME CKTI * PROBLEM
20.000 CICSPB01 CKTI 55 CICSDFL
All of these messages are related to the CKTI task id 55. On the CKQC monitor I see:
Task Num Task Status Thread Status Num of APIs Last API
---------- ------------- --------------- ------------ ----------
0000055 Normal Msg Wait 2479 MQGET
Initiation Queue Name: PE.REQUEST.IN.ONLINE.INITQ.001.C
0000054 Normal Msg Wait 2 MQGET
Initiation Queue Name: PE.REQUEST.IN.ONLINE.INITQ.001
0000053 Normal Msg Wait 2 MQGET
Initiation Queue Name: MQHP.INITQ
0000052 Normal Msg Wait 2 MQGET
Initiation Queue Name: AC.INBOUND.INITQ.001
By reviewing the CICS log files, I know that this kind of messages have not been present before today.
a) what does that error - warning message means?
b) is it normal that the # of APIs is that big?
Thanks in advance,
Florencio Lugo |

these messages are not related to mq (not directly), looks like you have some kind of monitoring that is complaining about the ckti transaction. have there been any changes in monitoring? what is "xpcf" message prefix (unknown to me)? _________________ Regards, Butcher |

I believe XPFC100W comes from CA-Sysview. Seems like you have cputime monitoring active. CKTI should be excluded as it will run from start to end of the cics session. _________________ Regards,
