Hello,
I am working on WBI Message Brokers version 6. When I got a problem with the execution group, I tried to detele it and I clicked "Complete" on some deployment pop-up message. After that I do not see the Broker in the Broker Topology. I verified the mqsilist and I see the broker in the list and it is active. When I try to start it the error message says that the component is already running. Then I rebooted the system and restarted the ToolKit. I got a two messages after the reboot(based on the timestamp) saying "the broker and the execution group processed a configuration message successfully". Can any one of you please guide me on the mistake that I did and how to resolve it? The broker that I am talking about is part of default configuration. I want to restore it to complete my assignment. Your reply is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I have not worked on MB6 but on V2.1.
This thing happens when you just delete the broker from the GUI(topology view in 2.1). Broker still exists and you must just recreate it in the GUI. Broker is only deleted by running the mqsideletebroker command.
Other MB6 gurus can give better pointers/answers. _________________ Shalabh

The deletion of a execution group does not ask if you want to do a complete or delta delete...so most probably u have deleted the Broker from the cofigMgr.
You can recreate it as u did the first time u added the broker to the configMgr.

Hi Vinod,
elvis is right. Do add the broker to the configuration mgr.
Go to Domains-->Broker Topology-->right click and click new-->Broker
Give the borker name and QueueManager name which u've created earlier. _________________ With Regards,

...although adding the broker back to the Config Manager only works if the broker has not already been deployed, becuase the Config Manager won't know the resources that have already been deployed to the broker.
If the broker definition has been removed from the Config Manager, it's the same scenario as the one I explained in this other thread: http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30131
As it's a default configuration, the easiest solution might be to run the DCW again. |
