question:
1. We are using workflow on AIX environment.Suppose I have created "fmc" configuration with user id "fmc", with password say "pass123". we were told that the password "pass123" need to be an "non-expiry" password. As you know, for unix admins its a security violation. IBM says they know workaround but do knot say what it is (may be we have to pay them to know the workaround). My question, is it a bug in workflow that the password need to be "non-expiry" one. Has any one got suggestion how we could get over this problem?
Thanks |

I have not come across such situation but, what happens if the password expires? Doesn't workflow start? Or does it stop all of a sudden when the password expires? Is fmc in db2admin group? |

Hi,
If password Expires, we cannot restart the workflow server and it is not possible to use fmcibie command for export and import.

Just use fmcutil to change MQWF ressources (DB and MQ) to the new password. |

hos!!
I am bit confused.
I tried fmcauil -uadmin -p<passwrd> -y FMC and entered u which gave me the option for password changing. Are you saying I should use this to change the password for fmc? Will this changes the FMCDB and MQ passwords as well.
My question is our WF system was installed with id FMC and the password as UCBUS indicated has the non-expiry password. I would like to have an ability to change this password. Please let me know. |
