All,
Thank you for your valuable suggestions with my previous posts.
There is a 4GB limitation on maximum memory for Windows 2003 standard edition. In order to upgrade the memory from 4GB to at least 8GB on ICS server, we need to upgrade the OS to Enterprise ediition. I appreciate if anyone has ideas about the support of ICS 4.3.x on Windows 2003 Enterprise edition. I did not find any support for Enterprise edition in ICS system Installation document.
So my question is that if I want to use ICS 4.3.x and add more memory than 4 GB, is there any workaround for the memory upgrade?
Thank you! _________________ voyager |

See if the JVM can take more than 4GB. _________________ -Ratan |

Thank you Ratan,
Since the JVM is 32 bit and OS is 32 bit, we can have upto 4 GB memory addressing. I think, if we can upgrade JVM to 64 bit and OS to 64 bit then, we can get hold of more memory. But, I am not sure if anybody has installed/using ICS 4.3.x on 64 bit OS and 64 bit JVM. I appreciate if anyone can share their ideas.
Thankyou! _________________ voyager |
