I have been researching on a way to find out which messages 'expire' in a queue. It seems like there is a way to generate Expiry Reports to view which messages have had the expiry time elapse. But I have not been able to find very good documentation.
All I have been able to find is that Expiry Report messages are generated by the queue manager. And little else.
Can someone help elaborate on Exipry Reports? Are they written to a log file? How can I extract these messages to display which messages did expire?
or am I totally off base with what the Expiry Reports are and how the operate?

The Expiry Report Messages are exactly what they say. They are messages that are returned to the sending application, to inform it that the original message has expired.
You will find details in the Application Programmers Guide (and Reference).
BTW The report messages are not generated at the exact time the message expires. They are generated when the message is dicarded by MQ. Search this forum for an understanding of that piece.
