To IBM'ers
While viewing the infocenter which I see is for wbimb 6, I noted a new node MQGET. This would be useful for the application I am designing (although I'm well underway with a cpp program in case I can't do this on wbimb 5).

Has this new bif node been made available retrospectively to wbimb 5, say via fixpack?

Not on v5, no.

v2.1 had this popular supportpac: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg24000603&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en , but I don't think it was upgraded to v5.

Hi guys,

How come we went through v5 without needing the MQGet node at all...especially now when i notice that we are using the node a lot in v6

Regards.

Those of use that used it quite extensively in v2.1, migrated it to v5.0 and continued to use it.

Well that generated a bit of interest.

I think I may have a bash at IA09.

As for going to wbimb6 yeah right. Started migration jan '05 and still testing flows. Project has been put on hold several times. Perhaps the migration will get frozen and we can jump to v6 next time around who knows.

We use the MQGET Node in our V5 broker. It is not supported but was easy to port to V5, we just had to rebuild the toolkit component & recompiled the LIL file for the target platform.
