Using MQ6 to view queues under MQ5

I understand that to be able to use MQ6 with remote qmgrs on v5.3 I need to create the modelQ SYSTEM.EXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL on the MQ5 qmgr.

Does anyone know what the impact is of doing this on the MQ5 qmgr? Also, is there anything else I need to do explore the MQ5 queues from MQ6?

It should work, except with a zOS v5 qmgr, of course.
