Hello Guru's,
I have Workflow Buildtime 3.4 on Desktop ,and the Workflow Runtime has been Migrated to 3.5 version.
We use WBI Workbench to export FDL's to 3.5 Servers and It works fine..
But the Buildtime is unable to Import the 3.5 version FDl...
Can you pls tell what is the correct way to do this..
1.Should I uninstallBuildtime and Install 3.5 Buildtime and then Import ?
2.IS there any Fix Pack to Apply to Buildtime so that It can Import 3.5 FDL's ?
Pls Suggest... |

I have 3.4 Workflow Buildtime Client Installed on My Desktop.
I use WBI IBM Workbench to develop FDL's.
BUT,..My Workflow Runtime has been Migrated to 3.5 version(I mean The workflow Server)
NOW...My questions is
The 3.4 Buildtime is unable to Import the 3.5 version FDl..which was generated by the workbench..(I am planning to validate the FDL in Buildtime as we dont have that option in Workbench...
I am looking for a way to do this... |

I am still not sure I understand what you are saying... but maybe the answer is to modify the Version generated at the top of the FDL to match the version of your Buildtime _________________ John McDonald

I did that and it worked....
My questions is ..
When Migrating Workflow..What's the Correct way to do it..
1.Uninstall 3.4 Buildtime along its database and Install 3.5 Buildtime and Import Everything...(Sounds Lot of Work)
or
Anything Else...?? |

Uninstalling Buildtime AFTER you export all your data and then installing the new version and importing your data into that should not take more than 10 minutes. NOT a lot of work to me _________________ John McDonald

Thanks JMac..
I have one last question..Just a thought
If I uninstall 3.4 without deleting the database..and install 3.5 using the same database ..will it work..??
This can be used as a back up plan If we end up in any Issues in 3.5..
Pls help.. |

I fail to see that you need any backup plan other than
Log on to Buiildtime 3.4
Export all FDL
uninstall Buildtime 3.4
Install Buildtime 3.5 (WHY NOT MOVE to 3.6????)
Import the FDL from 3.4
