We have a production MQSI server running on top of WebSphere MQ 5.3 and we've started to get AMQ7128 errors in the FDC logs. The installation is fine and MQ is running without any difficulties. I checked on the IBM site and they keep referring to the installation about choosing a license (?). Is my server about ot blow up any minute now?

Did you run the command "setmqcap"? You have to set the numbers of processors as an argument.

Otherwise you should get any trouble.

Hi - on what platform are you running? We had all sorts of problems on Linux despite running the 'setmqcap' command.

In the end we had to resort to manually setting the Unix permissions on the following file:

/var/mqm/qmgrs/@SYSTEM/amqcap.inf

but we only had the problem when running with WAS.

The good news is that is no longer used under MQ V6.
