I am trying to connect to an application using a snap-in. Everytime I put a message on the snap-in queue, the message is put on the error queue and the format is MQDEAD.
MQ is also recording a warning on the application log with this message "mipcd.state.mi.us[1] Unable to deliver message: no translation from the input character set to Unicode was available . The message has been moved to the error queue. 1 message(s) have been placed in the error queue by this router. "
Could anybody tell me if this is a MQ configuration problem......or any solutions to this.
I am getting another message on the log too. May be this makes sense.
"mipcd.state.mi.us[1] Unable to deliver message: the input message type is unsupported . The message has been moved to the error queue. 2 message(s) have been placed in the error queue by this router."
I am using the Unisys MQ snap-in to connect to the Unisys mainframe apps. The snap-in (plug-in) allows me to configure it with a Queue Manager and Queues already created and running in MQ. I put messages in the Queue Manager. Hopefully this will shed some light.
It is a translation problem. The snap-in is not converting from Ascii to EBCIDIC and vice-versa.
It also says in the documentation that "Character set conversion can only be achieved if th code page that corresponds to the CCSID property of the message is installed on the sys".
Is this an MQ problem? If so, could you shed some light on how or where to find the character code page so that I could install it?
