Hi,
I am new to MB6. I have to install MB6 on 4 machines and test that the flows that are working on V2.1 work on V6 after migration.
Everything went well on 3 machines. On the 4th machine the test flow kept on failing continously. On checking the event viewer I found that the there was an ORA-01017 error which specified that the wrong username\password was provided.
I had logged in with administrator id, the id used to install MB,MQ, Oracle and DB2.
This same scenaio was working fine in the 3 other machines.
All machines have Win2K3.

No matter what I did the error would not go away.
Then I came accross the mqsichangedbparms command and once I specified the username and password there everything started working fine.

I wanted to know why issuing this command was required in only this machine and not the others.
All parameters/OS/ procedures followed were the same in all 4 machines while installing.

Well, to state the obvious, something's different...

are all 4 service ID's and database ID's (the ones specified on the mqsicreatebroker, -i & -u) commands the same?

Is this a local db on each machine or the same remote db?

Did you type the password wrong slightly when issuing mqsicreatebroker ?

Jeff,
That might be possible.
Is there anyway to check that ?
