Hi there,
I have MQ series installed in AIX machines. I had an issue before where i couldn't access the server and i had to restart it. when i investigated the case i found out that there was a problem with MQ where the whole memory consumed as seen in the MQ error log file:
AMQ6119: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred ('12 - There is not enough memory available now.' from semop.)
Could some one advice the reason behind that, please? I searched the net but i did not find any clue.
Thanks. |

What kinds of applications are accessing these queue managers?
Are they client applications or server applications? Are they Java applications, or other? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I'm sure you did this, but from http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r0m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ae12670_.htm,

If you expect your broker to handle a heavy load (running a large number of message flows, or interacting with a number of databases), it might exceed the default memory limits that you configured during AIX installation. If the broker experiences memory problems, check the maximum size of the data segment for the user under which your broker is running (the ServiceUserID), and consider increasing its value. The size is defined in /etc/security/limits. |
Was there more information in the error file than the one line you showed? Was an FDC file created (or several)? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
