Hi,
Im working in MQ series for OS/400. Im encountering an error saying "Channel negotiation failed".
I have searched the Google and our forum I didnt get any useful information to resolve this error. I dont have any FDC files to gie you information. So Im pasting the elaborated message in this thread, Please let me know how toresolve this,
AMQ9503: Channel negotiation failed.
EXPLANATION:
Cause . . . . . : Channel 'ILS.PIX.CHANNEL' between this machine and the
remote machine could not be established due to a negotiation failure.
Recovery . . . : Tell the systems administrator, who should attempt to
identify the cause of the channel failure using problem determination
techniques. For example, look for FFST files, and examine the error logs on
the local and remote systems where there may be messages explaining the cause
of failure. More information may be obtained by repeating the operation with
tracing enabled.
Im not able to find FFST files.
thank you. _________________ Srinivasan for MQ discussion |

Where did you look?
It should be in one of the sub directories in
/QIBM/UserData/ |

FFST files can be found under
wrklnk '/QIBM/UserData/mqm/errors/'
They would have .FDC and .JOB extensions. .JOBs are actually the joblogs of the jobs having problems.
Instead of focusing on FDCs I would suggest to look at the AMQerror logs under the above mentioned directory and also under
wrklnk '/QIBM/UserData/mqm/qmgrs/QMANAGER_NAME/errors/'
for specific Qmanager which is having the problem.
At times QSYSOPR and the QHST would also hold some clues.
By the way what type of channel is having this problem? SND, RCVR, etc. ?
Cheers! |
