I am seeing the following error message on Windows NT MQ 5.3

Maximum number of channels reached.

The maximum number of channels that can be in use simultaneously has been reached. The number of permitted channels is a configurable parameter in the queue manager configuration file.

Wait for some of the operating channels to close. Retry the operation

which property should i change to increse the channel connections...

Please help

The default is 100. Are you expecting more than 100 channels to be active at once? (imho, you should only change limits like this when you have a good understading of why they need to be changed).

In any case, I suspect its a property of the qmgr changable from the MQ explorer (but I don't have a v5.3 system anymore to verify this fact)....

I have one question..
Default is 100 I understand..
But when I look at the properties ITS EMPTY..i mean the ACTIVE CHANNELS Text box has no value in it...
Does it mean Its Default...??
Do I need to restart the queuemanager If i change this Property...?

Pls help..
