Hi,
I am trying to create QMgr, but it's taking for ever to display any message. I'm using MQ 5.2 (on Win 2000), since our legacy systems are still running on them and I have to restore them.
Can someone please tell me whether there are any other settings that I should take care of?
I had 5.3 FP12 already installed on my machine.I uninstalled it and installed MQ 5.2. Now is this the root cause for the problem?

Well.. you probably don't need a lecture how terribly out of date MQ v5.2 is, and the very high risk you're running by using it for production applications....
is there NO way you can run this with V5.3? Why again must you run v5.2?
assuming there is a good reason (which I doubt), have you tried it on a fresh machine that previously didn't have MQ installed on it?

I tried to install MQ 5.2 on my local system. But tomorrow I'll be installing on a new machine.
But I unistalled all the MQ/WMQI compnents and tried, even then while creating a queue manager, it's taking forever.
Once we restore all these machines, we'll be migrating it MQ 5.3. But as of now, nothing can be done but restore the machine. |
