The WebSphere Integration User Group (UK) - formerly UK WebSphere MQ & BI User Group - would like you to join us on the 6th/7th June for our 30th conference. We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary at the home of MQ, IBM Hursley park.

The WebSphere Integration User Group (UK) is now in its 10th year since its inaugural meeting in October 1996. We aim to provide a forum whereby users of IBM's WebSphere Integration products can meet to learn from one-another's experiences and from IBM technical experts.

We thought it fitting to return to the home of MQ for our 10th anniversary conference which will start at midday on the 6th providing plenty of time to arrive at this splendid location. There will be an afternoon of presentations finishing with a social evening including a barbeque down at the club house (on-site and only a stones throw from the conference centre). There will be a full day on the 7th June with a buffet lunch provided.

Both days promise to provide a varied and interesting look at WebSphere Integration. Over the two days we intend to cover a range of topics including both high level architectural sessions on SOA, Process Integration, Web Services and Message Broker as well as programming sessions on JMS, XMS and .NET.

To mark our 10th anniversary year, registration and attendance at this conference is free for user group members. This includes the barbeque on the evening of the 6th June.

The agenda can be found on our web site which leads me on to say that as its our 10th year, we have completely revamped the web site to give it a fresh new look. We've managed to include news feeds from IBM, a calendar of upcoming events the committee feel may be of interest to you, useful links to online education, documentation and partners. We've even managed to provide a feedback questionnaire to enable you to help shape future events. Take a look at www.mqug.org.uk.

We will hold our Annual General Meeting on the 7th. At this session, we will vote in the user group committee for the coming year. We have had a number of committee members announce their intention to step down from the committee, so we need your help! If ! you would like to help shape the future direction of the group, select suitable venues and presentations for our conferences, then please contact me at chairman(at)mqug.org.uk. Any installation member is allowed to hold an executive position on the committee and all members are allowed to hold non-executive positions. See the user group policy on the web site at www.mqug.org.uk > Member Registration > User Group Policy.

So put the date of the 6th and 7th June in your diary and come along to celebrate 10 years of the MQ user group with us at IBM Hursley.

Regards
John Scott
IBM Certified Specialist - MQSeries
Chairman, WebSphere Integration User Group (UK).
