i am reading the DOCs. it will great if you guys could take a minute to tell me if i am understanding this right.
when migrating message flows and message sets to V6 from V5.
i just have to import the flows and message sets to my V6 toolkit and the migration is done for me. and i have to create a new bar file and deploy it?
or does importing a bar file to V6 toolkit does any migration?
(i am not using mappings or user defined nodes.
and i did see the note about the CWF repeat count). |

Hi
I haven't do it the way you have described, try the commands in eclipse folder:
mqsimigratemfmaps
mqsimigratemsgflows
mqsimigratemsgsets
There are flags to go with them.

No, no - mqsimigratemsgflows and mqsimigratemsgsets are only required for migration from v2.1. (mqsimigratemfmaps is used for migration from v5, but as you're not using mappings you won't need this.)
If you import the v5 flows and message sets into the v6 toolkit, the development artefacts will be migrated the first time you save them.
In order to change the deployed artefacts you need to redeploy them.
Hope this helps

Apologies paustin_ours if I sent you down a blind alley - I had only used a while ago to do a 2.1-> 6 migration.
best wishes |
