Hi,
I have installed Websphere MQ V 5.3 CSD 10 on Windows 2003 server. And the Queue Manager and the listener are running fine.
The external application which is Biztalk is using an agent on this server. Whenever this agent is started to get and put messages I am getting these error messages as below on the MQ log and windows event viewer with Websphere MQ error. The Biz talk vendor is telling that MQ is not running properly / configured because of this errors.
I need your help how to trouble shoot this. I have used Websphere MQ cd for windows. Is this ok or is there any specific CD for windows 2003 server ? OR could this be a windows issue.
Below is the error in the MQ log files
AMQ9503: Channel negotiation failed.
EXPLANATION:
Channel '' between this machine and the remote machine could not be established
due to a negotiation failure.
ACTION:
Tell the systems administrator, who should attempt to identify the cause of the
channel failure using problem determination techniques. For example, look for
FFST files, and examine the error logs on the local and remote systems where
there may be messages explaining the cause of failure. More information may be
obtained by repeating the operation with tracing enabled.

AMQ9228: The TCP/IP responder program could not be started.
EXPLANATION:
An attempt was made to start an instance of the responder program, but the
program was rejected.
ACTION:
The failure could be because either the subsystem has not been started (in this
case you should start the subsystem), or there are too many programs waiting
(in this case you should try to start the responder program later). The reason
code was 0. |

you said "Whenever this agent is started to get and put messages I am getting these error messages as below on the MQ log and windows event viewer with Websphere MQ error."
Is this agent an MQ server program or a MQ client program ? If MQ client is it running on the same machine as the MQ server ? WHich channel it is using to communicate with MQ |

The application running is an COM+ ( biz talk) Application which is installed on the same server on which the Windows MQ. It connects as an Mq client. To troubleshoot further, I connected the windows MQ to Aix and able to send messages. But the COM+ Microsoft vendor is telling that MQ is not installed and configured properly
