I have been sending messages from a mainframe application to an API server to be passed to another system. I set the MQ expiry field to -1 for unlimited. But the API seems to be getting timeout warnings when processing the messages. I assume it is a problem their end ??

Are they getting a specific reason code on the MQGET? Are they getting the messages? Where are they seeing these warnings?

Sounds more like something in their application not necessarily related to MQSeries at all. There is not enough data on the problem here to troubleshoot it further. You would have to know more specifics about the receiving application.

So, the messages haven't expired.
