We are setting up a new v6 env.. mq, bimb, was... and using clustering... I have an autodefined channel that is in a stopped state on the full repos and if I issue a start to it I get a not auth.. I'm doing this as mqm and have doubled checked and the id still has full auth on everything.. Has anyone run in to this???
We are running 6.0.1 release of mq |

It's best not to start cluster channels manually.
You need to troubleshoot why it isn't starting. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I agree that we shouldn't start or stop them manually... but being in a stopped state not inactive requires user interaction dosen't it? otherwise it should be in an inactive or retrying state... |

It's only a problem if it's actually supposed to be running.
Do you have messages piling up on the S.C.T.Q?
Are there errors in the logs? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Enable qmgr authority events, and check the msg written to the qmgr event queue for the username and the missing authority. _________________ MQSeries.net helps those who help themselves.. |

Thanks for clearing that up. When I was taught punctuation there was no such thing as a hyperlink. |

Hey Guys thanks for the great input.. We are running multiple clusters for that channel... so looks like it's going to get resolved in CSD02... |
