This time I was told to transfer the msgs from one queue to the other on AIX. I used Q Program command: q -m<QMgr> -i<Q1> -o<Q2>.

Even though the receiving queue is put enabled,there are no messages getting transferred. I don't even find any error once executed this command. Both the queues have similar properties. I tried ina ll the ways that i'm aware of,but could not fix this. PLEASE help me.

Well, mrlazy.... perhaps you should try adding the "-v5" flag to your execution of "q".

But I guess the data is not at all getting stored in thhis queue. I tried it using MQ Visual Edit too. But once the mesages are transferred, I can see only a few of them.But after I refresh it, it's empty.
Is this because it has a backout queue mentioned?

Did you consider the possibility that something was GETTING the messages from the queue after you put them there?

Did you consider asking the person who told you to move the messages for help?
