I am working with a Customer who is running two WBIMB V5 CSD 6 Message Brokers in 8GB 4CPU P690 Lpars - seperate machines
Can you point me to any documentation on the advantages/disadvantages of splitting these LPARs so that they would be running 8 Message Brokers in 2GB 1CPU P690 Lpars
Message sizes are large 1-20mb and SAN disk is used _________________ Brian S. Crabtree

Isn't all of this information clearly spelled out in the planning sections of the v5 Info Center?
Isn't the rest of it fairly obvious, in terms of parallel execution? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Cons:
- 2 GB memory seems to be not enough for large messages
- you have to administer and monitor 4 virtual machines instead of 1 at all level: OS, WMQ, WMB, DB (if using locally)
- processes use more memory (4 kernel, qmgr, broker, etc)
When you need more parallel processing threads you can increase the number of running instances of the message flows.
