I have attached the supportpac MA0W to a queue manager to trace API call. Seems to work fine, but my question is - "Is it a requirement for the queue manager to be stop and restarted for the tracing to take effect?"
Maybe you should read what the Info Center says on "tracing".
It seems fair that, since the documenters went to the trouble to write an entire section on this topic, then you should go to the trouble to read it. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
Thankx for reminding me that I could find this out by reading the documentation on "tracing", as if I would not have already done that. Bless those writers of documentation
Basically, I am not trying use standard tracing, but API exits to monitor a message flow without having to interrupt other important message flows thru the queue manager.
