Hi,

There are two local user accounts on a Win2K3 box UserA and UserB.

UserA is permitted to connect to Queue Manager and access queue(s) on a Solaris MQ Server. UserB is not.

When tested with ActiveX object in a VBScript, this behaves as expected.
i.e. when run under UserA, messages can be get and put; but when run under UserB, error 2035 is generated.

BUT when tested with Java class using Java MQ Classes (supplied by IBM), there is no security check done. Both users can connect and access queue.

Any idea why ?

TIA

Most likely you are using SVRCONN channels and client connecting.
I think you need to set MCAUSER on the SVRCONN channels.
