I doubt if you will find a trial 5.3 version on the IBM web-site (probably the only legal source) as AFAIK they only have the current version (6.0) as a a trial. Also, you don't mention what hardware platform (MQ works on about 35 of them) - and again, AFAIK, you'll only get Windows.
I now correct myself and find that also you can get a Linux version as well, here's the link:

As I said, in which case you're out of luck, as the web-site has only 6.0.
Maybe some kind forum member has a 5.3 trial version they downloaded over a year ago that they could "lend" you  |

Yes I have not chance, the web site have only the version 6.0  .
If anyone have downloaded the version 5.3 Trial of WebSphere MQ, I shall be thankful to him if he can lend it to me . |
