Hi guys,
I know that BEA has a product that is very similar to MQ. I am trying to understand the behavior of Weblogic server ( WLS ) when it comes to its native JMS provider ( don't know what it is).
Does some one know it ?
Pls reply.
Thanks.

Why don't you post this question in a WebLogic forum - you will probably get a proper answer.

Does this open up the floor for improper answers, then? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I felt there are members of this forum using products from different vendors, and not just from IBM. many people use WLS with MQ as a JMS provider, and since we are facing an issue ( with connection pooling) I thought I would ask somebody regarding what the native JMS provider for WLS is.
Once I get the name of the product ( native JMS provider for WLS) I would probably post it in a Weblogic forum.
Hope I haven't hurt the feelings of MQ supporters and sympathizers who are hosting this forum or are participating in this forum.
Can someone please answer my original question in this post, if it is ok.
Thanks.

I don't think you've hurt anyone's feelings.
I also don't have anything constructive to add! _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I see that there is a product by name MessageQ from BEA. But I am not sure if that is a JMS provider for Weblogic Server.
Appreciate any response in this regard.
Thanks.

Web Logic Server has a built-in JMS provider. You can read about the different versions using the online documentation found here:
http://edocs.bea.com/
BEA has another ESB product line called AquaLogic which performs additional functionality above and beyond JMS which is a separate product.
AquaLogic maps more toward IBM's WBIMQ product family.
There is an adapter called MessageQ to let BEA use Websphere MQ as a JMS provider. _________________ Bob Wilmes
