Newer servers have more and more CPUs and when installing MQ5.3 we need to get more MQ licenses to be in terms with licensing for the extra CPUs. Actually we might not be needing the extra CPUs power. Is there a way during installation to limit the number of CPU which MQ series can use? Thus, also no need to get extra MQ licenses. Thanks.

There is a sub-capacity pricing model for MQ but it requires you to LPAR the system (not sure on the other LPAR-like technologies out there)...

I believe sub-capacity is also available for VMWare installations.
But you really, really, can only trust your IBM sales rep on all questions of licensing. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
