WBI Architect / Technical Consultant
The resources assigned to this role will implement solutions for customers using IBM’s WebSphere Business Integrator (WBI) product suite, should have a very strong background in software development and systems integration, and have proven abilities to design/develop/test/implement technical solutions. The WBI Architect and/or Technical Consultant must be able to participate in all phases of the system development life-cycle.
Skills:
The skills below describe the specific attributes that are required or recommended for WBI candidates:
• Delivery: Candidates must have experience in transforming customer business requirements into a comprehensive solution using the appropriate methods, tools, and technologies.
• Communication: Candidates must have the ability to create easy-to-read documentation; ability to conduct effective verbal communication with an individual; ability to conduct effective verbal communication with small teams; ability to present to audiences
• Multiple Product Skills: Candidates must possess strong skills in multiple products. The following are a list of required product skills: MQSeries, MessageBroker V5/V6, WebSphere Application Server, and development experience utilizing J2EE, Java and/or JMS technologies.
Experience: Candidates must have knowledge and industry experience in Service Oriented Architectures, Enterprise Service Bus, and leading integration architectures & frameworks. Consultants act as technology experts within an account, engaging each account for short periods to focus on the most difficult technical problems.
The following is a list of preferred skills: Process Server, Server Foundation, Modeler, WorkBench, Monitor, InterChange Server, Adapters, MQWorkFlow, WBI Connect, Partner Gateway, and/or Information Integrator.
Tasks:
The tasks described below provide an example of the type of work that a WBI candidate will perform while working for Perficient:
• Consulting: Candidate will be responsible for assisting/leading the implementation of WBI projects; including but not limited to architecture, installation, configuration, administration, development, & mentoring across multiple operating systems.
• Pre-Sales Support: Candidates will also be expected to assist the business development staff with pursuit opportunities; this may include writing proposals, participating in and/or function as a lead resource for Proof-of-Concept and Proof-of-Technology projects, and/or addressing questions either orally or in writing.
• Travel: Candidates will be hired into a virtual organization, which will allow the consultants to live anywhere in the US. Nationwide travel is expected, typically Monday through Friday to the client site - all expenses paid.
Training is available for full-time candidates and IBM certifications are a definite plus.
This is an immediate need, so we will be unable to provide NEW H-1B's for this position. We can however, transfer existing H-1B's.
