After applying MQSeries V5.3 FixPac 12 to server, we are trying to do a MQSeries client install to a workstation and getting the following message:
Current service level is 'CSD05': Re-apply service after set-up completes (AMQ4705).
This message is not intuitive to me. What exactly should be the course of action to get the MQSeries Client installed on the workstation correctly?
Thanks!

Are you installing the client on a machine that currently has a mq server on it? (or the same machine you just put csd12 on?) _________________ -wayne |

Trying to install it on a user's workstation. The workstation does not have the MQSeries server software on it. |

So, are you saying that the client didn't install? _________________ -wayne |

does this desktop perhaps already have MQ Client 5.3 CSD5, and its barking because you are trying to install MQClient 5.3 CSD12 on top of it, instead of just applying just the CSD12?
Were it me, I'd reboot, uninstall any MQ software that might be there thru add/remove programs, reboot, and install 5.3 CSD12 Client one more time. _________________ Peter Potkay

It seems to work...but with a message like that - I don't know if it installed 100% correctly or not. |

Either (a) apply CSD12 to the client, or (b) download the latest v6 client and install on the workstation. Either should be a valid approach. |
