Hi All,
I have MQ version 6.0.1.0. I created one queue manager using MQ explorer but I am not able to see it in my MQ Explorer even though 'dspmq' is showing my queue manager is in running status. Have anybody had this problem before. Please give me some pointers as to where it went wrong.
Thanks alot in advance,
DilSe.. |

From the list serve:

I think the source of the problem here is that you added the queue manager to the view. All local queue manager should be detected and added automatically when you launch eclipse. If you used the add queue manager wizard to add a queue manager with remote connection details (eg. port, machine etc.) then this is a remote queue manager, and so you don't have the options such as starting the queue manager, command server etc.
Couple of things to look at:
1) try launching the new explorer with the command: strmqcfg -c
2) try clicking on the "IBM WebSphere MQ" node at the top of the navigator view, select properties. In the dialog that appears select the "Configuration information" pannel and check that "mqjbnd05 loaded" is yes. If this isn't loaded then the Explorer will not be able to connect to local queue managers. If this is the case and you have done strmqcfg -c then you need to check that all your install paths and permissions are correct.

Thanks a lot PeterPotkay. When I ran 'strmqcfg -c' command it did the trick. Now my explorer is showing my QM. Can you please let me know what exactly '-c' option will do.
Thanks a lot,

Thanks Peter, I found it.
Syntax
The syntax of this command follows:
>>-strmqcfg-+------+-+------+----------------------------------><
'- -c -' '- -i -'
Optional parameters
-c
-clean is passed to Eclipse. This causes Eclipse to delete any cached data used by the Eclipse runtime.
-i
-init is passed to Eclipse. This causes Eclipse to discard configuration information used by the Eclipse runtime.
Thanks, DilSe.. |

Worth noting that you should only need to run strmqcfg -c once, after it has worked succesfully then starting the Explorer normally will work just fine. _________________ --
