I was going through back up and recovery, i want to ask how to recover messages in MQ version 6 or earlier then MQ 7.5. |

Well, that talks about backup and recovery.
It doesn't talk about message recovery.
No, generally, in *any* version of MQ there is not a way to replay a message that has already been processed.
There is a product from the forum sponsor, Cressida, that can use the MQ transaction logs to do this.
But that requires that the messages in question are still in the transaction logs.
So, aside from being completley screwed by using a version of MQ that is not just entirely out of support, but horrendously old.
You are also entirely screwed because there's generally no way to do what you want to do.
Unless you planned ahead and had the applciations store the messages they were going to send or otherwise have the ability to resend the same data.
But, really, you're just plain screwed. You should find another job. |
