We have an MQIPT in place in our production system, which transfers the data to a MQ concentrator. One of the routes in mqipt.conf file is to a queue manager on concentrator (port no:7733).

Now when I log on to concentrator and do a ‘netstat’, I could not find the port number 7733 in the local address list. Is it possible that the port is open for listening but not getting displayed?

Is there anything else that I should be looking at?

Try netstat -an

The n will force the named ports to numeric format.
Enjoy

It's a windows machine. When I did 'netstat -an', here is the port I'm interested in:

TCP 0.0.0.0:7733 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING

Now what does that 0.0.0.0 mention?

It's listening on all of available IP addresses. You can restrict it when needed.
