I'm wondering about the new implementation:
Quote: |
General MQ operation is significantly enhanced by a process management rules database that enables sophisticated, yet easy-to-use control over the unique multiprocessor architecture of a WebSphere MQ queue manager running on HP NonStop Server.
Most components now run in the Open System Services (OSS) environment of HP NonStop Server, enabling the use of multi-threaded agent processes. This feature can enable a more efficient, scalable implementation for typical mixed workloads.
Reliability and data integrity are enhanced with the introduction of a fault-tolerant Execution Controller process-pair. Components critical to data storage retain their fault-tolerant capabilities, and critical databases remain in the transactional Guardian file system. |
Very interesting, because v5.1 was a "Guardian-only" application...

Yes , it's a good thing, but , for me, the DIS QSTATUS & the SSL is the best. |

Luis,
But what about OSS? Here the good-old-fashioned Tandem sysadmins hate the posix environment they beleive in Guardian.

Tibor:
I know the spanish team of Tandem Computers for 15 Years and they don't hate OSS (and they are good-old-fashioned Tandem sysadmins and loving Guardian, as me ), they understand the OSS like an evolution of NSK.
And , how they (and me) say , no HP, no Compaq, always Tandem.

Been poking around and can't seem to find the dowload area this should be. Has anyone in the NSK world obtained this yet? |

Thanks Luisfer!
I am almost willing to bet that IBM might get there act together by 2007 on this release!
In all the years I worked for IBM as a Systems Engineer when a date was published that WAS the drop dead date no excuses but, lately it seems like IBM shoots from hip to appease the users then shoves the date out and causes customers a whole lot of grief!
Hey IBM did you guys forget the " Readiness review process "? Sure seems that way!
Shameful! |
