Part of our application design includes installing mq client v6 on Linux x86 (32 bit) servers - with communication to both Solaris 8 and Windows 2003 servers running mqserver v5.3 (csd7, I think).
From what I've seen on this site and on the IBM platform sites, this arrangement should work.
Other than the apps not being able to use v6 capabilities, does anyone see any issues with this software setup?
Is anyone actually running this topology?

Aside from CSD 7 being well past it's sell by date?
It's always a good principle to have server & client at the same sort of level, but IMHO this should hold.
Though you really need to think about a server side upgrade - CSD12 at least. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
