| MQSeries Explorer console takes forever to start.... |

| MQSeries Explorer console takes anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes to startup, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why! ONce it starts, it work fine, but the wait is killing me. W2K Pro; MQ 5.2.1 CSD 4 |

Have you tried creating a new msc file by selecting Console -> New from the explorer then saving that?
The shortcut in the start menu just points to an msc file, if you change it to point at the one you've just created the console will open quicker, the obvious shortfall is that no queue managers are displayed.

| If you have many, many remote queue managers defined, for each queue manager, it will contact that queue manager and return all of its definitions. This can take a substantial amount of time as a function of the number of queue managers. |

| Well, it doesn't seem to matter whether I have a new Console, with just my local queue manager in it (console starts right away, but when I click on "IBM MQSeries it hangs), or a console with many queue managers. I believe I've been able to narrow it down to my VPN. It seems this happens only when my VPN client is active (Aventail Connect, V4.01). |
