To my understanding, MaxChannels determines the maximum number of channels can be defined in a queue manager, while MaxActiveChannels means the maximum number of total instances of all channels concurrently running in a queue manager. For example, if svrconn channel is used, there may be many instances of the same named channel running.

So it is perfectly fine to have

MaxChannels=1000
MaxActiveChannels=5000

Am I right on this? thanks for any comment.
