Do you know which IBM products MQ comes with for free in a bundle?
Thanks! |

Normally, but not always, when a product is supplied bundled with another, it's because the "base" product requires the "bundled" product in order to function. BUT, you are only allowed to used it for that purpose, unless you purchase a seperate licence.
As always with questions like this, the place to ask, is your IBM rep.

An example of differing usage limitations for bundled products is WebSphere Message Broker.
Message Broker depends both on a database and on MQ to function. You are licensed to use MQ to exchange data between the broker application and other MQ servers in your enterprise. You are NOT licensed to use the bundled DB2 for anything other than the broker's private usage - even for application databases that are only accesed by broker if I recall correctly.
But as EddieA says - ask your IBM sales representative because they are right and we are not. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
