Hi,

I am using MQ 6.0 and have got two of my queue manager QMgr1 and QMgr2 into the cluster "Clster". I create a Queue "Test" under QMgr1 and in the properties of the queue make it as a shared queue under the cluster.

I do not see the Queue "Test" under QMgr2 in the MQExplorer but i see that both the QMgr1 and QMgr2 under the cluster. What could be the problem?

When i try to put a message from the command prompt, i am able to post the message to the Queue "Test" using either of the Queue managers, but when i try to read the message, it gives me the 2085 exception if i read it from the QMgr2 but get the message if i read it from QMgr1. Why is this so?

-Robert

Robert -- what are you seeing is normal custering behavior. When you define a queue to a cluster, you can PUT to that queue from any other qmgr in the cluster, but you can only GET from it on those qmgrs where you defined it as a QLOCAL.

Can't you see the queue on QMGR2 even after you put a message using QMGR2?

No I don't see the Queue even after i post the message. But in case of MQ 5.3, i could see the clustered queue under all the queue managers that are there in the cluster. Can't the same thing been seen in MQ 6.0
