Can an applicaiton do a get with wait but only until a message arrives.

ie - max time 15 seconds but if a message arrives continue without waiting the additional time for the wait to complete

I am still a little confused after reading the get message options. Do I have to use a signal in order for the wait to be canceled?

NO.

Just specify MQGMO_WAIT in the MQGMO.Options and a value to the MQGMO.WaitInterval.

I must be doing something wrong then because I do have the waitinterval set but it continues to wait until that time expires even when a message arrives..

Then the message doesn't match the rest of your options.

You're probably forgetting to clear the Message ID and CorrId before you issue your get.
